This year's popular CCA Councillor Development Weekend is taking place on 19th - 20th November at The Telford Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort. More information can be found on the 'Venue' tab.

Attendees can enjoy a packed programme full of sessions focused on improving your skills in your important role as both a Conservative councillor and a campaigner. It is also a great opportunity to meet with fellow councillors from across the country. Many have attended with group colleagues as part of a team building weekend.

All CCA Members are welcome to attend and it will be beneficial for those looking to broaden their ideas, learn more and engage effectively with residents. There will be sessions relevant to those both in control and opposition; speakers will include councillors and Party staff all of whom have a wealth of campaigning and local government experience.

Attendees will be able to book one-to-one sessions with CCHQ's Head of the Lib Dem unit. Furthermore, we have teamed up with the LGA Be a Cllr programme to offer dedicated sessions for our Candidate Members. Numerous council candidates have attended the Cllr Development Weekend in the past and have found it hugely beneficial in terms of preparing them for life as a councillor. It is also a great opportunity to meet fellow candidates and councillors from across the country. Further details on both areas of the programme will be issued in due course.

There are a variety of booking options listed on the Booking Form tab. The popular all-inclusive CCA Member Full Package includes access to the whole training weekend, accommodation at The Telford Hotel, drinks reception and three-course dinner, lunches and refreshments breaks. This pass costs just £125. Day pass options start from just £25. You can book quickly and easily online via the Booking Form tab using a PayPal account or debit/credit card.

Some councillors prefer to attend the development weekend as a group and as such we offer a reduced rate based on a minimum of 3 group members (including council candidates who are CCA Members) in attendance. This booking option is available via the online Booking Form.
