This year's popular CCA Councillor Development Weekend is taking place on 23rd - 24th November at the Cambridge Belfry. More information can be found on the 'Venue' tab.

Attendees can enjoy a packed programme full of sessions focused on improving your skills in your important role as both a Conservative councillor and a campaigner. The event is a fantastic way to get to know your group and as such, many of our members have attended with group colleagues as a team building away day. With this is mind, we offer a very generous group booking discount.

All CCA Members are welcome to attend and it will be beneficial for those looking to broaden their ideas, learn more and engage effectively with residents. There will be sessions relevant to those both in control and opposition; speakers will include councillors and Party staff all of whom have a wealth of campaigning and local government experience.

New to this year's event, we're pleased to announce that we will be hosting specific workshops for Group Leaders. These are highlighted on the programme page under 'Leading to Win' and will delve further into campaign and leadership strategies. Also new to this year, the Conservative Policy Forum will be leading interactive workshops on policy discussion.

Furthermore, we will be offering dedicated sessions for our Candidate Members; numerous council candidates have attended the Cllr Development Weekend in the past and have found it hugely beneficial in terms of preparing them for life as a councillor. This year, All-Inclusive Passes for candidates will be heavily subsidised by the Be A Cllr Campaign.

There are a variety of booking options listed on the Booking Form tab. The popular all-inclusive CCA Member Full Package includes access to the whole training weekend, accommodation at Cambridge Belfry Hotel, drinks reception and three-course dinner, lunches, breakfast and refreshments breaks.

For those wishing to attend as a group, we offer a reduced rate based on a minimum of 3 group members (including council candidates who are CCA Members) in attendance. This booking option is available via the online Booking Form.
